Every professional cable install is judged by what the client can see. Here's how a modular cable manager and concealment box can serve multiple purposes, depending on your requirement for the immediate project.

Power Cord Manager

Power cords serving any workstation, battle station, or entertainment center can get messy, and become a tripping or safety hazard. Multiple monitors, docking stations, PCs, and power supplies each need a power cord. Wire Wonder offers a convenient way to manage up to 6 power cords and a 6-outlet power strip / surge protector.

Wire Wonder's unique, adjustable peg board system allows you to wind cords into their own partition, without over-bending or tangling cords. Just insert the number of pegs required for your application, then wrap the cord around the peg sets, without stacking or burying other cables. This greatly simplifies removing cables when they are not needed, and safely stows excess power cord length. Three cable egress openings on each side allow you to separate and pull cables out wherever needed. Wire Wonder is highly ventilated to avoid overheating and is constructed of a listed flame-resistant plastic for added safety. The snap-on cover conveniently conceals all the cabling.

Horizontal Connection Point (HCP) or Multi-User Telecommunications Outlet Assembly (MUTOA)

Wire Wonder can serve as a vendor-agnostic HCP or MUTOA. Horizontal cable runs to user workstations may result in excess data cabling. Use Wire Wonder to conceal excess horizontal cabling and create a convenient connection point for patch and equipment cords. The unique peg board cable management system allows you to wind cabling without exceeding the bend radius or tangling cables.

Horizontal cables can be terminated into your vendor-specific jack modules, which then insert into your vendor-specific TIA-569-B compliant furniture faceplate. You choose the cabling, connectivity, and furniture faceplate vendor — the faceplate snaps into a compliant slot on the Wire Wonder. Twelve furniture faceplate slots, three on each side, allow for plenty of patch cord attachment.

Enclose and Protect Wireless Routers, Desktop Switches, and Other Network Gear

In addition to power cord and network cabling, Wire Wonder can be used to conceal and protect other workspace network gear in an economical and inconspicuous manner. Wire Wonder is virtually transparent to the wireless signal, so it's ideal for concealing wireless routers and associated cabling.

The Bottom Line

Technical competence gets the job done. What the client can see is what gets you the referral. Building a proper concealment step into every install — rather than improvising one when the job's already wrapping up — is a small addition to the workflow that shows up directly in how the finished work is perceived.

Wire Wonder is built for exactly this step of the job: a fire-resistant, wall- or desk-mountable cable management box with adjustable pegs that route and secure cables, power strips, and small networking gear behind a clean, closeable cover.
